NVIDIA forms Nemotron Coalition to promote open frontier AI research

NVIDIA has launched the Nemotron Coalition, a collaborative group of global artificial intelligence laboratories. The initiative is designed to advance the development of open frontier models by fostering research and technical cooperation across the international AI community.

The formation of the coalition coincides with several other updates to NVIDIA's AI ecosystem. The company recently introduced Cosmos 3 and Isaac Lab 3.0, which serve as a unified framework for synthetic world generation and robot learning. These tools are intended to support the development of physical AI systems.

In addition to the research coalition, NVIDIA is expanding its industrial software integrations. The company is incorporating CUDA-X and Omniverse into platforms from Cadence, Siemens, and Synopsys. These partnerships aim to deploy autonomous AI agents for semiconductor verification and industrial design.

NVIDIA's hardware and software platforms continue to see adoption in the automotive and infrastructure sectors. Hyundai and Kia have deepened their collaboration with the company, utilizing the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform for autonomous vehicle development.

The company also maintains large-scale infrastructure agreements with major technology firms. A multi-year partnership with Meta involves the deployment of Blackwell and next-generation Rubin GPUs, alongside Grace and Vera server components, to support expanding AI compute requirements.
