AIB Signs 12-Year Deal to Supply Nebius With 50 MW of AI Capacity

AIB Data Centers signed a binding agreement to supply Nebius (NASDAQ: NBIS) with 50 megawatts of data center capacity in the southeastern United States, securing a long-term customer for its AI infrastructure expansion.

The initial term is 12 years, with optional renewals. AIB’s Sept. 30 announcement did not disclose the contract’s value, development budget or delivery date. AIB expects customer prepayments, project-level debt and preferred equity to cover a substantial portion of initial development costs, reducing its need to issue common shares. It did not announce completed financing arrangements.

The capacity will span two data halls, supported by a 15-year electricity agreement covering 65 megawatts of utility load. AIB said no significant additional electrical infrastructure upgrades are required.

The deal advances AIB’s shift from digital-asset infrastructure toward AI and high-performance computing. The company, previously called BlockchAIn Digital Infrastructure, adopted its current name in June, when it also reported completing a roughly $63 million public stock offering. Its shares trade on NYSE American under the ticker AIB.

AIB has also been expanding its power portfolio. A Texas acquisition announced Sept. 14 increased contracted power capacity to 120 megawatts from 65 megawatts. The acquired site included 15 megawatts of energized service and another 40 megawatts under development—a distinction between electricity already available and capacity still to be delivered.

For Nasdaq-listed Nebius, the agreement adds to an infrastructure expansion supporting large computing commitments. In March, Nebius announced a five-year agreement to provide Meta with $12 billion of dedicated capacity, with delivery starting in early 2027. Meta also committed to purchase up to $15 billion of additional available capacity under that arrangement.
