Bitdeer (NASDAQ: BTDR) Technologies Group disclosed its operational results for August 2026, marked by a 249% year-over-year increase in Bitcoin mining. The company produced 1,310 Bitcoins during the month, supported by a self-mining hash rate of 79.9 EH/s and a co-mining hash rate of 21.6 EH/s.
The company entered a non-binding Letter of Intent to establish an AI data center within Gelephu Mindfulness City in Bhutan. The project is designed to utilize 30 MW of solar and hydroelectric power initially, with a long-term expansion target of 500 MW. To further support its high-performance computing (HPC) goals, Bitdeer also purchased 200 acres of land near its 563 MW facility in Rockdale, Texas.
In Malaysia, Bitdeer's Johor campus saw significant growth. The 9.5 MW A102 facility reached full capacity through long-term contracts prior to its activation, with anticipated total revenues exceeding $800 million. Additionally, a new 10-year service agreement for 65.1 MW at the A202 facility has increased the total campus AI Cloud capacity to 86.8 MW. The company also acquired 133 racks of GB300 GPUs to prepare the A201 facility for deployment.
Developments in Norway included a 16-year lease for the Tydal AI data center. The contract is valued at approximately $4.7 billion over its base term, with the potential to reach $8 billion if an extension is granted. The Tydal site is engineered for high efficiency with a 1.1 power usage effectiveness (PUE) rating and will run entirely on renewable energy.
